Here is a sampling of how you can help the community this year through the Junior League:  

* Put together crisis kits that will help women and children in emergency situations

* Wrap gifts for distribution to Children & Youth Services’ clients

* Set up the kitchen pantry at Ruth’s Place women’s homeless shelter

* Care for the community garden at Hillside Farms

* Organize the Halloween party for College Misericordia’s Women & Children program

* Help sort and distribute flowers and other items for the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days

* Set up our annual Easter Egg hunt for the children who live at Mineral Springs

* Feed 160 disadvantaged children at Heights Elementary School

 **Also, as of October 2010, the League will move into our new office at the Kirby Health Center on North Franklin Street in Wilkes-Barre.
